The tool inside the career tools consists of two fields: the occupation search and the list of topics for it. Both hang on the occupational registry of the Bundesagentur fuer Arbeit, not on a list of our own.
Search the occupation instead of guessing
You start typing, Jobvin queries the registry and puts the matches below as a list. Searching starts at two characters, at most eight occupations are shown. You pick one, so that everything after it is about a defined occupation.
The topics for the occupation
For every occupation the registry holds Anpassungsweiterbildungen, the courses that keep you current in that trade. That is exactly the list Jobvin shows, with nothing added and no selection by our own taste.
From topic to course
Every topic is a link into the training search of the Bundesagentur fuer Arbeit. The search term is already filled in, the search opens in a new tab, and your page in the career tools stays where it was.
German for the workplace
Below the topics sits a separate block for occupation-related German language courses. It leads into the Berufssprachkurs search of the Bundesagentur fuer Arbeit. It is always there, because Jobvin does not speculate about your language skills.

What you need for it
A Jobvin account. The server answers occupation search and topic list only when signed in, and 60 requests per hour per account and request type are possible. That is enough for one research session and at the same time caps what a single account pulls from the official registry. The course search itself sits with the Bundesagentur fuer Arbeit and is freely accessible.
Where the topics come from
Training is a field where many lists circulate and few name their origin. So it stands up here instead of in the small print: the topics come from BERUFENET, the occupational registry of the Bundesagentur fuer Arbeit. The courses themselves also sit with the agency.
BERUFENET, the official occupational registry
BERUFENET describes the occupations in Germany and lists, for each one, the training courses intended for it. Jobvin reads exactly that field and passes it on unchanged. There is no layer in between that turns it into something of its own.
The order is not ours
The registry assigns every topic a priority. Jobvin sorts by that, and only by that. There is no recommendation from us, no paid placement and no ranking by provider, because we do not know any providers.
The courses live on mein NOW
mein NOW is the training search of the Bundesagentur fuer Arbeit and has stood in place of KURSNET since 1 January 2025. That is where every link leads, with the topic as the search term. Jobvin deliberately keeps no course database of its own: a second list next to the official one would be out of date the day after it was created.
Empty rather than guessed
Not every occupation has topics in the registry, and an interface goes down now and then. Then the list stays empty and Jobvin says so openly, pointing to the official search. A made-up suggestion would be the opposite of help in this field.

The stronger question is rarely "what training exists" but "what am I missing for the job I want to apply to right now". That is what the job check answers, and training hangs on its result.
The evaluation names the gaps
The job check compares the posting with your Master Profile and writes down what is missing. Every gap stands on its own, with an assessment of how much it weighs.
A search link under every gap
From the wording of the gap Jobvin pulls the two to four core words and turns them into the search term. The link leads into the same official course search, with the location of the job passed along. If no core word survives the filtering of filler words, no link appears.
Plus the topics for the job title
Below the gaps sit up to six topics that the registry intends for the occupation from the posting. They come into being during the check, so without a second wait and without an extra click.
And as a step in your career goal
If you set yourself a career goal, one step of the plan may point to training. That turns an intention into a place where something has to be done.

Bildungsgutschein and AVGS: what is not stated here
Both are funding instruments of the Agentur fuer Arbeit, and both are the questions most people arrive on a page like this with. So here is the clear answer up front: Jobvin does not tell you whether a particular course is funded.
The topic list knows nothing about funding
What Jobvin shows are topics from the occupational registry. That data set carries no field about eligibility for funding, so none can be displayed. A "funded" tick mark at this point would simply be made up.
Where the information actually is
The courses are listed in the training search of the Bundesagentur fuer Arbeit, together with the details the providers supply. Whether funding is an option for you is something you settle with your contact at the Agentur fuer Arbeit or at the Jobcenter. No tool takes that decision off your hands, and ours least of all.
Coaching is a different thing from a course
