How the job scanner works
The scanner reverses the direction. Instead of doing the same round again and again, you describe once what should be looked for. The run fetches the lists, throws away what your filters exclude and files the rest.
Two kinds of source, both public
Watched companies on one side, saved searches in the job board of the Bundesagentur fuer Arbeit on the other. Both read publicly accessible listings only. The scanner signs in nowhere and sees nothing a visitor to the career page would not see as well.
The filters clear away the rest
In your profile you keep two keyword lists for the job title: one where at least one word has to appear, and one that rules a job out. For locations there are three lists - allow, block, and a third that overrides the block list. Capitalisation does not matter, empty lists do not filter.
If a posting carries no location at all, it passes the location filter. Better one hit too many than a job you never get to see.

Every hit gets a fixed identifier built from your account and the address of the posting. If the same job shows up in the listing again on the next run, it does not land in the inbox a second time - not even if you dismissed it before.
When a career page does not answer
Errors do not stay silent. The scanner records them against the company concerned, with the text the page returned, and lets all other sources keep running. One stalling portal does not bring down the whole run.
You start the run yourself
One button in the job scanner, one pass across all active companies and saved searches. Afterwards it says how many jobs were found and how many of them were new. Up to four runs per hour are possible, after that the server slows you down.

Which sources the scanner reads
Most companies do not run their job listing themselves but through an applicant tracking system. The scanner knows six of them and works out from the address you paste which one it is. On top of that comes the official job board.

You paste the public address of the career page, nothing else. Which system sits behind it is something the scanner checks one by one - you neither have to know nor pick it.
If a different system sits behind it, the scanner says so on the company instead of quietly finding nothing. You can then switch that company off or delete it.
Saved searches in the Bundesagentur job board
A saved search is exactly that: an occupation or keyword plus a location. On every run the scanner pulls the jobs of the last seven days from it and sends them through the same filters and the same deduplication as the career pages. The hits are identifiable by their source.

If a different system sits behind it, the scanner says so on the company instead of quietly finding nothing. You can then switch that company off or delete it.
From hit to finished application
The scan collects, it does not judge. Whether a job is worth it is your call - and you can have it checked if you want.
The scan itself asks no AI
It fetches listings, filters them by your keywords and files what is left. No model reads your resume as long as you do not start something. A run therefore does not count against your quota of AI checks either - scan and check are counted separately.
Checking takes company, role and link along
Every hit carries a button that hands the posting to the job check. Company, job title and the address of the posting travel with it, you type nothing out. The check itself is the same one you get for a posting you paste by hand.
The check becomes an entry
Every checked posting creates an entry in the Application Tracker, in the first column. The hit disappears from the job inbox as it does and stays linked to the entry - so you do not have it on screen twice.
What does not fit, you dismiss
One click and the hit is out of the inbox. It does not come back on the next run either, because deduplication knows it. Dismissed means gone from the view, not gone from your mind - the decision stays yours.

No email, no notification
Jobvin sends you nothing when a hit arrives. You see new jobs when you open the job inbox; every entry carries the date it was found, and very fresh ones are marked.
No promised rhythm
What is reliable is the run you start yourself. This page does not promise you a fixed background rhythm - that would hang on a schedule outside the product, and a promise somebody else would have to keep is not one.
Watching and scanning are part of Pro
Watching companies, saving searches and starting a run are tied to Pro, and that is checked on the server - not just on the button. Without Pro you still have the job board: searching, viewing and putting single jobs into the same inbox by hand costs nothing.
No job without a source
The scanner invents no postings and rewrites none. What sits in the inbox comes from the employer listing or the job board, and the link leads to the original. Nothing is ever applied to automatically.
