An address instead of an attachment
An application page is not a second resume. It is the same content in a form you can pass on: a link you drop into an email, put on a profile, or read out over the phone. Whoever opens it sees what it is about right away, without downloading and opening a file first.
In the application
One line below the cover letter. Anyone who wants more clicks; anyone reading the documents anyway just reads on.
In your email signature
Every message you write during the process then carries the link, without you having to point at it.
On your network profile
LinkedIn, Xing or a professional community: one fixed address you do not re-upload every time something changes.
In a speculative application
If you reach out without a job ad, a link asks less of the reader than a file attachment from someone they do not know yet.

The difference to a PDF is not the look, it is the control. An attachment is out of your hands the moment you send it. Your page you can change, switch to private, or take offline entirely, and that applies from the next visit on.
What is on your page
The page is built from your master profile, and it is built when someone opens it. Change your profile and the page changes with it. You maintain one version, not two.
Header
Name, headline and short profile. Plus, if your profile has them: location, work model and a note that you are open to new roles, optionally with a start date.
Key figures
Up to four short numbers with a label, such as years in the job or team size. They belong to the page and appear in none of your documents.
Positions
Your work history with title, company, period and description, in the same order as in your profile.
Skills
Your skills as a list. Duplicates are dropped on read, so you do not have to hunt for them.
Education and languages
Degrees with institution and period, plus your languages and levels.
Contact
The roles you are aiming for, the resume download, the contact form and your closing note.
Projects and profiles
Projects with description and link, plus your public profiles. External addresses pass a check that only lets http and https through.

Whatever is empty does not show up: a section without content is dropped rather than rendered as an empty box.
You edit in your profile, not on the sheet. The way there is the profile tab „My Page".
Four designs, one address
The content stays the same, the look changes with one click. On top of that you pick an accent colour that tints headings and highlights.
Aurora
Light and matter-of-fact, sans serif, blue accent. The default.
Midnight
Dark background, light text, calm contrast.
Editorial
Warm paper white and serifs, closer to a printed sheet.
Minimal
White, black, typewriter face. Nothing but text.
- 3 to 40 characters long
- Lower-case letters, digits and hyphens, but not at the start or the end
- No two hyphens in a row, because two such addresses are almost impossible to tell apart in running text
- A handful of names are blocked, among them system terms and the product name itself
Whether it is still free you see as you type. These rules apply:
There is no Jobvin logo on the page. It is yours and it goes to employers; a vendor logo on it would make it look like a directory entry.
Three levels of who may see the page
You switch the level whenever you like, and it applies to everyone who opens the address afterwards.
Public
Anyone with the address sees the page, and search engines are allowed to index it.
Link only
The page is reachable but tells search engines explicitly that it does not belong in the index. Without the link, nobody finds it through search.
Private
Nobody but you sees the content. Whoever opens the address gets a short notice and nothing else: no name, no preview, not even in a messenger preview card.
The starting value is private. A new page does not go live by accident, only once you confirm the step explicitly.
Photo, email and date of birth only with your consent
Three details from your profile are more sensitive than the rest. They appear on the page only if you release them one by one. Without that they stay in your profile and do not travel with it.
Profile photo
Without consent the header stays without a picture. Nothing else changes.
Email address
Without consent your address appears nowhere in the text. People can still reach you through the contact form.
Date of birth
Without consent it appears neither on the page nor in the resume that Jobvin prints for the download.
The resume to take away
You can offer a resume for download: either one of your documents from Jobvin, printed to PDF for this purpose, or a PDF you uploaded yourself.
The file is created when you publish and then stays as it is. That is deliberate: the page is a state, not a live view into your profile. Whoever has the link does not watch what you changed yesterday. For a newer version you publish the page again.
If printing fails, the page still goes online. Only the download is missing then.

Messages without handing out your address
On request the page carries a contact form. Anyone who wants to write to you does not need to know your email address. You read the messages in your profile, in the same tab where you manage the page.
Only what the sender types is stored: name, company, email and text. No IP address, no browser fingerprint. After 180 days a daily job clears the message away.
And the form gives nothing away about you: it answers the same whether the page is private, the form is switched off, or the address does not exist at all. Working through a word list teaches an attacker nothing.
What this means for your data
A public page is public. That is the whole point, and it is why the step outwards asks for explicit consent: before the page becomes visible you confirm in a dialog that your personal data should be publicly visible. The link to the privacy policy sits right next to it.
Going back is just as quick. Switch the page to private and the next visit leaves nothing but the notice, without a single detail from your page: not in the visible text and not in the metadata other services build their preview cards from.
Think beforehand about what belongs on the page. Everything you release can be read by anyone who knows the address, and on „Public" by anyone who searches for it. Less is often the better choice here.

Online in four steps
Fill in your profile
The page mirrors your master profile. The more complete it is, the less is left to do afterwards.
Pick an address
In your profile under „My Page". Whether the address is free you see as you type.
Choose design and consents
One of the four designs, an accent colour, the three consents and, if you like, contact form and resume download.
Choose visibility
Public, link only or private. The page only goes out once you tick the box in the dialog.

Frequently asked questions
Can I change my address later?
Yes. You enter a new one in your profile, as long as it is free. The old one is no longer yours afterwards, and links you already sent out run into nothing. So take your time choosing it once.
Will Google find my page?
Only if you choose „Public". On „Link only" the page tells search engines explicitly that it does not belong in the index. And on private, every visit sees nothing but a short notice.
Do I have to maintain everything twice?
No. The page reads your master profile when it is opened. What you change in your profile shows up on the page. Only design, accent colour, key figures, closing note, contact form and resume download belong to the page alone.
Can I take the page offline again?
Yes, any time and with one click. After that the address shows nothing but a notice, without a single detail from your page.
Does it need a photo?
No. Photo, email address and date of birth are separate consents, and all three may stay off. Without a photo the header is simply without a picture.
Is the resume on the page always up to date?
No, and that is deliberate. The file is created when you publish and then stays as it is. Whoever has the link does not see every change to your profile. For a newer version you publish the page once more.
Create your page
You need nothing more than a filled-in profile. The page becomes visible only when you say so.
